OJAD (=Online Japanese Accent Dictionary)

OJAD is not just an online accent dictionary but has lots more to give. It can be used right from the beginner level all the way to the advanced level to improve speech and presentation. Grounded on the world renowned intonation model developed at the University of Tokyo, and supported by high quality speech synthesis technology, OJAD provides a natural sounding Standard Japanese speech sample for any input sentence. Furthermore, the OJAD team has intensively developed to connect OJAD to various textbooks of L2 Japanese that are currently in use, and also translated the contents to many languages (Swedish version available!). The OJAD project has received two awards from PSJ (Phonetic Society of Japan) and IEICE (The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers).
