The Student Portal

By means of the Student Portal you can check the information registered about you in the student administration system known as Ladok and enter a temporary change of address, use the Course Portal, GUL or register for courses within a programme and use your e-mail account.

The Servicecenter Näckrosen (Water lily)

The Servicecenter Näckrosen is one of five main entrances to the University of Gothenburg. Näckrosen has its front desk near the main entrance of the Humanities building, Renströmsgatan 6. Here one can buy, among other things, photocopying cards, telephone cards and a selection of office materials.

The Humanities Library

The Humanities Library is part of Gothenburg University Library. The Library is responsible for supplying literature in the humanities and social sciences. The main part of the large collection of older literature at the University Library is held by the Humanities Library.

GFS student service

GFS (the Association of Student Unions in Göteborg) offers social activities which support you and enrich your life as a student in Göteborg. Exchange students can, even if they are not members of a student union, partake of the services provided by GFS Student Services by showing their Letter of Acceptance.

Quiet room

To the quiet room at Humanisten you can come in for a moment's silence, reflection, prayer or meditation. The room is always open to anyone who needs stillness for a while, believer or non-believer.

During the rebuilding of the Humanities building the quiet room is located in Språkskrapan on the 5th floor.

Student Minister/Priest

Martin Klemetz, the Student Minister, works at Humanisten (the main Humanities Faculty building) and at the departments around the water lily pond (Näckrosdammen).

The Reverend David Bruce an English-speaking minister at St. Andrews Church (the Anglican Church).
